Suki Pure Butter Cream Healing Salve
The Butter cream healing salve
from Suki Pure works like a charm on dry, cracked, or chapped skin. It's active ingredients, organic cocoa butter and organic lavender extract make this salve an especially good treatment for dry, cracked heels, elbows, and knees.
If you're not familiar with butters like cocoa, shea, and babassu, which are solid at room temperature until warmed up by the temperature of your skin, you might be a bit thrown off when you open the jar and try to use the salve-so read the directions first. You'll need to scoop a small amount out and warm it up between the palms of your hands before you can use it. It would be nice if it came with a small scoop because it's difficult to get out of the jar, but this is only a minor inconvenience.
Other than that small detail I found the Butter cream healing salve
to be very soothing and effective when I used it as a foot salve. The lavender smell is clean and refreshing and the salve is not greasy, although it definitely forms a thick protective barrier on my skin. I probably wouldn't use the butter cream healing salve as an overall body moisturizer except after a day at the beach perhaps, when my skin needed some extra TLC after too much sun.
