Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry Face Mask
and Egyptian Geranium Facial Scrub
Can I just say that I absolutely adore the earthy (heavenly?) fragrance of this Pangea Organics Facial Mask? I really do. I mean earthy in a good way--as in the smell of damp earth and moss in the woods. A beautiful rich shade of dark brown, I use the face mask once a week, or more often if I want a pick me up because it makes my skin look so dewey.
I'm not sure if there's a single secret ingredient, I suspect it's the combination of ingredients in the Pangea Organics Facial Mask, all of them wildcrafted including the Irish moss, sea vegetable, seaweed harvested from the sea, the Goji berry from China, Mongolia and the Himalayas in Tibet, the Acai berry from the rain forests of Brazil, and Japanese Matcha Green Tea.
Speaking of green tea, here's a terrific recipe for green tea ice cream you might want to try.
The Egyptian Geranium Facial Scrub with Adzuki Bean & Cranberryalso smells fabulous. It's more flowery than earthy probably due to the Egyptian geranium, which is not heavy or cloying the way geranium essential oil can sometimes be. The ingredients of this mauve-beige colored exfoliating scrub include adzuki seeds in a base of blood orange, geranium and other natural oils. It almost seems too gentle for a scrub, but it's not. It works quite well at getting rid of dry skin. I prefer to use it faithfully twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but it's so gentle you can actually use it every day without leaving skin red or irritated.
Pangea Organics, a Boulder, Colorado based company known for its ecocentric skincare products, never uses synthetic preservatives like parabens, or artificial fragrances colors, petroleum-based ingredients, or GMOs (good for them!). They also have a signature packaging material that is made from recycled paper and impregnated with organic seeds. Simply soak the packaging and plant in your garden or in a flowerpot.
